- How do I register my child/children for sports?

- How much does each sport cost?
- As of November 2022, all Middle School Sports will have the same cost: $200 per athlete (fees cover coach fees, referee fees and jerseys)
- All Club Sports cost $100 per athlete (fees cover referee fees and jerseys)
- *If your child is currently a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista, the fee is reduced by 50%
- Is Financial Assistance Available?
- Boys & Girls Club of Vista offers financial assistance to qualifying members. All financial aid paperwork is kept confidential and must be filled out completely and turned in at least 5-7 business days prior to the first game to allow for processing. Incomplete or late applications delay processing time. All fees must be paid prior to the first game.
- How do I register for tryouts?

- What dates are Tryouts?/Where are Tryouts held?
- Dates for each school's tryouts can be found on their TeamSnap pages.
- Tryouts will always be at the school, on the Field for outdoor sports (Flag Football and Soccer) or in the Gym for indoor sports (Volleyball and Basketball).
- Does my child have to attend all tryout days or can they just go one day?
- While each athlete is only required to attend one day of tryouts, we recommend attending all days to maximize your chances of making a team.
- How will I know if my child made the team?
- Coaches should notify all players after finishing the final day of tryouts.
- Additionally, on the day after the final day of tryouts, parents will receive an email notifying them that their child made the team.
- Where does Practice take place?
- Practice will be held at the schools starting roughly half an hour after school ends.
- What time is practice held?
- Practices will take place between 4-6pm up 4 days per week before the competitive season starts, and up to 2 days per week once the season has begun.
- Exact end times will be up to the coaches.
- Most practices end around 5:30.
- How will I be notified of cancellations or changes in the practice or game schedule?
- Practice and game cancellation updates will be sent out via TeamSnap, please make sure you have the app installed after registering for tryouts!
- Cancellation notifications will be sent out no less than 2 hours from practice or game start time, barring extraordinary circumstances
- Does the Boys & Girls Club provide transportation to games?
- The Boys & Girls Club of Vista DOES NOT provide transportation to or from games!
- Coaches are also not permitted to transport athletes
- Please figure out transportation/carpools before game day!
- Can athletes play on both JV and Varsity?
- No, players are not permitted to play for both teams.
- Any adjustments to the gameday rosters must be approved by the Athletic Director no less than 2 hours before game time
